Walk With Ease

Walk with Ease is proven to hep you increase physical activity, reduce bodily pain and improve your overall health. Do you suffer from arthritis or other chronic conditions? Are you healthy and looking to increase your physical activity level? Then Walk with Ease is for you! Created by the Arthritis Foundation, Walk with Ease will help:
  • Motivate you to get into shape
  • Walk safely and comfortably
  • Improve your flexibility, strength and stamina
  • Reduce pain and feel great

Who Can Participate

Anyone! Walk With Ease can be beneficial to all participants. Whether you are suffering from arthritis, a chronic condition, or just want to become more physically active, Walk With Ease is for you! Available throughout Allegany, Cattaraugus and Steuben Counties for work sites, faith-based communities and the community at-large.

The only requirement is that you must be at least 18 years or older, and be able to stand on your feet for at least 10 minutes without increased pain.

  • Information on Arthritis
  • Exercise basics
  • How to successfully complete the program

Choose Your Format

Self-Directed Format
Complete the program on your own by:
  • Develop a walking plan that will meet your needs
  • Stay motivated
  • Manage your pain
  • Learn to exercise safely

Instructor-Led Format
Get support in a group setting as you follow the six week Walk With Ease program. Classes are taught by an Arthritis Foundation certified leader all over Allegany, Steuben and Cattaraugus Counties. To find a class near you, contact Jose Soto at 585-593-5223, ext. 1010.
