The National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) prevents Type 2 Diabetes through healthy eating, weight loss and regular physical activity. The program provides a supportive environment where other people living with prediabetes work together in a small group led by a trained Lifestyle Coach. Knowing whether you are at-risk for prediabetes is as simple as downloading and completing the CDC Pre-diabetes Screening Test.
What is pre-diabetes?
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, having prediabetes means your blood glucose (sugar) level is higher than
normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. But, nearly 90
percent of adults who have prediabetes don’t know they have it.
