Preventing Type 2 Diabetes
The National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) prevents Type 2 Diabetes through healthy eating, weight loss and regular physical activity. The program provides a supportive environment where other people living with prediabetes work together in a small group led by a trained Lifestyle Coach.

Ardent Solutions, in conjunction with the Wellsville YMCA, is pleased to announce the upcoming Diabetes Prevention Program for anyone 18 years of age or older, at-risk or diagnosed with pre-diabetes. The 16 week program is scheduled for Wednesday's; 4:00pm - 5:00pm beginning October 19, 2016 - February 8, 2016.

According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, having prediabetes means your blood glucose (sugar) level is higher than normal, but not high enough to be diagnosed as diabetes. But, nearly 90 percent of adults who have prediabetes don’t know they have it.
